From the first time I picked up a book I wanted to be a writer. When I was small, I sat on my Grandmother's back-porch and wrote stories for my dolls. I wrote stories in elementary school that didn't always please the teacher and in high school I stopped writing creative fiction because it always got me in trouble. I don't want you to think that I was writing erotic romance, or something else objectionable, it was just that it was different from what the teacher thought the assignment should be. Science was more acceptable and engineering was better, so I became an engineer and spent twenty years building and testing communications equipment for the military.

During the time I worked on communications equipment, my husband and I, with our four sons, lived on a small horse farm. We bred, trained and raced Standardbreds. These are the horses that pull a little cart. Our horses were pacers. Our stallion actually made it to the Meadowlands Pace, one of the top races for three-year-olds. My first published novel, Summer's Story now available from
Red Rose Publishing is based on my experiences in the harness racing world.

After my husband retired, we moved to a farm in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. I always think the name is like something out of Tolkein. We still have horses, but now we concentrate on Paso Finos. These marvelous horses came to the United States with the Spanish Conquistidors. They're gaited horse, very smooth, and excellent trail horses because they're so intelligent and fearless. We also live near a small town. My next novel deals with a murder in a small town like the one I live in. Murder in Montbleu will be available in 2009 from Red Rose Publishing.

I love writing and thoroughly enjoy having people read my stories. I hope they find enjoyment in reading as much as I do in writing.
